23 Janvier 2010 - Deux des quatre finalistes au Championnat canadien de curling junior sont connus. La formation masculine du Manitoba, du capitaine Alex Forrest, et l’équipe féminine de l’Ontario, menée par Rachel Homan, seront de la grande finale du championnat dimanche après-midi, elles qui ont remporté leur duel respectif, en soirée hier.
Les représentants du Manitoba ont vaincu le Nouveau-Brunswick 6-5. Pendant ce temps, l’Ontario a subi un revers de 8-2 face à la Nouvelle-Écosse. La victoi-re du Manitoba, combinée à la défaite de l’Ontario, assure le Manitoba de la première place, avec un match à disputer aujourd’hui, contre la Saskatchewan. Toujours chez les garçons, le Yukon a vaincu le Nord de l’Ontario, 7-4 alors que la Saskatchewan a disposé du Québec, 8-4.
Chez les femmes, l’Ontario a confirmé sa présence en finale, disposant de la Nouvelle-Écosse 9-4. Le Québec a concédé cinq points au huitième bout dans un revers de 10-7 contre la Saskatchewan. Le Nord de l’Ontario a eu raison du Yu-kon 8-6. Enfin, le Manitoba a eu le meilleur 6-5 face au Nouveau-Brunswick.
A few hours earlier, the women formation of Ontario and Saskatchewan fought in a duel of the titans, to the advantage of Ontario’s, 10-8. Finally, Quebec (Rivest) fell 7-3 against Nova Scotia.
